Entry Rules All Quilts must be pre-registered by date noted above. Photo of quilt must accompany registration. Quilt must be constructed and quilted by person(s) named on entry blank. All quilt entries are to be completely stitched by one person except in the Team categories, M & N. Quilts entered for judging must have quilting stitches either by hand, machine or both, except in the "Miscellaneous" category. Non-quilted entries that do not meet the exceptions will be exhibited as "Display Only/Non Judged". Quilts eligible for "Best Hand Quilting" and "Best Machine Quilting" awards must be the work of one person. Entries to be considered for Best Interpretation of Theme: "How Sweet It Is" must be noted on the registration form with theme statement describing how the piece illustrates the show's theme. Entrants limited to two entries per category. All entries must be clean, dry, and free of smoke or odor and constructed of fabric. Any quilt with surface embellishments should be entered under major construction technique. Entries placed in an incorrect category will be placed in correct category by verification judges. Kit/BOM and Wearable Art categories will not be eligible for "Best of Show" award. Quilts do not need a sleeve for hanging purposes. Show Category Definitions Bed quilt: intended for use on a bed, minimum size 60" wide x 80" long; both measurements must be met. Wall quilt: intended for display on a wall, perimeter specifications less than 120" or greater than 120". See back. Hand quilted: entry must be quilted entirely by hand. Machine quilted: entry contains any amount of machine quilting; may include hand quilting. Pieced: hand or machine piecing predominates over other techniques in amount or effect. Appliquéd: hand or machine appliqué predominates over other techniques in amount or effect. Mixed Techniques: a quilt where two or more major construction techniques (piecing, appliqué, embroidery, etc.) are used to develop the design of the top, not including quilting, trapunto or embellishments. Team quilt: a quilt that has more than one person involved in its' completion. Includes all techniques, as well as quilting by a person other than the maker of the top. Miniature by scale: scaled-down versions of a large quilt design; maximum size 24'x24" or 96" perimeter. Youth: age 18 years and younger entries; can include more than one person. Crib/Lap quilt: all bed coverings under 60" wide and 80" long. Wearable Art: featured garment must be quilted; will not be eligible for "Best of Show" award Miscellaneous: entries that do not fit in other categories including, but not limited to, crazy quilts, cathedral windows, whole cloth, surface design, embroidery. Un-quilted entries will not be considered for "Best of Show" award.

Kits/BOM: quilts made from purchased patterns with fabric supplied will not be eligible for "Best of Show" award.
